Tendrils and silver buds give this silver compass necklace a botanical feel.
Featuring a lovely labradorite, this necklace has a compass hidden in the back.
My wonderful 24 y.o. daughter has fallen in love with a young man from another country and is moving to that country to be with him while he is in school. I wanted something that would reference ‘following your dreams/heart’ but remind her of the way home to us. A gift with various meanings.
The working compass inside is worn facing the body. As with all of my compasses, it’s safe to wear it in the water and has a quartz resistant face.
Labradorite is a favourite gemstone with its gorgeous colours, displaying flashes of colour when viewed at certain angles. This optical effect, called labradorescence, is typically peacock blue but can include greens, coppery reds and dusky golds.
The Labradorite makes a good stone for a compass pendant as it’s a mineral believed to attract the strength and perseverance required to achieve one’s destiny. It has also been thought to help clarify one’s direction and provide for vitality in bringing about desired transitions. Like the sound of that!
