An abundance of silver droplets encircle this silver compass pendant with a gorgeous labradorite. If you haven’t noticed already, I love labradorite, and this one is another beauty!
Finishing with a swirling flourish, this compass pendant has a lovely weight and is a pleasure to wear.
The working compass is set inside the necklace and worn facing the body. As with all of my compasses, it’s safe to wear it in the water and has a quartz resistant face. It’s a Francis Barker NATO compass that has been uniquely customised so you can get it wet without any worry of water getting inside.
Labradorite displays flashes of colour when viewed at certain angles with an optical effect, called labradorescence, that’s typically peacock blue but can include greens, coppery reds and dusky golds.
A particularly good stone for a compass pendant as it’s a mineral believed to dispel insecurity and apprehension and to attract the strength and perseverance required to achieve one’s destiny. It has also been thought to help clarify one’s direction and provide for vitality in bringing about desired transitions.
