Lockets with a Compass Inside
What is a locket?
A locket that opens … to reveal a compass within.
The word ‘locket’ is often used in the same way as the word ‘pendant’, but for me, there’s definitely a difference between the two.
When I think of a locket, I definitely imagine it opening up to reveal something inside, such as a compass 😉 A pendant, on the other hand, may not necessarily open at all.
Here’s what the dictionary says
A locket is a small ornamental case, typically made of gold or silver, worn around a person’s neck on a chain and used to hold things of sentimental value, such as a photograph or lock of hair.
Hmm, how come the dictionary didn’t mention a compass?!
Handmade Compass Lockets
Here are some of the compass lockets I’ve made so far. Each one is individually handmade, so no two are ever the same.
