Amethyst Waterdrop Bracelet

A group of girls in the Languedoc get together once a month to spend an evening catching up with each other's news. A night of conversation, revelations and laughter shared over a meal – it's special. They are the Languedoc Lasses and I am one of them!

To mark the occasion of Jen's special birthday, each of the Lasses chose a silver nugget, or waterdrop, to be used in creating a unique 40th birthday gift for her – this handmade silver bracelet. I took each of these natural forms and decorated them delicately with amethysts plus a sprinkling of swirls and droplets in rose gold. A one of a kind bracelet especially for LouLou from her friends.

The amethyst has been described as an extravagance in violet which I think is a lovely way of referring to the birthstone for those born in February. The amethyst is also the traditional stone of choice when celebrating the 6th and 17th wedding anniversary.
