Creating custom jewellery and compasses is at the heart of my work.

For your special commission, we’ll work together on a design that is significant and personal to you.  A fusion of ideas, design and workmanship exclusively for you.

The Design Stage

The goal of the design stage is to produce a sketch of your specially commissioned creation. Any images or sketches of your own, no matter how basic, are a great base from which to start. Even without sketches, however, we can work together to create hand made jewellery just for you.

Browsing the jewellery and compasses throughout this website can help with ideas. Do remember that similar pieces can be created with various gemstones, so there’s plenty of choice.

Whether your design ideas are crystal clear or vague, I am here to help!

Quotation

Once a final design has been agreed upon and materials chosen, I produce a quotation for the finished article. Owing to the fluctuation in gold prices, this quotation is only valid for up to 10 days.

Deposit

A deposit, 50% of the final price, is paid by you in advance of work starting on the creation of the article. Your deposit is confirmation of your agreement on the design and price and that you’d like me to proceed.  Upon receipt, I organise the necessary materials and schedule my creative time in the workshop.

Your Custom Jewellery is Created

This is where I get busy in the workshop. I immerse myself in making your piece of jewellery after which it is Hallmarked. Upon completion, a comprehensive selection of photographs of the finished creation are made available for you to view using my website.

Balance & Delivery

Provided that you are happy with your special commission, the remaining balance of the final price is paid. Upon receipt of the final balance, I organise safe delivery of your special commission.
