Lockets with a Compass Inside
What is a locket?
The word ‘locket’ seems to have been used in the same way as the word ‘pendant’, but for me, there is definitely a difference between the two.
A locket is something that actually opens to reveal something inside – in this case, a compass! – whereas a pendant may not necessarily open and close.
Here’s what the dictionary says
A locket is a small ornamental case, typically made of gold or silver, worn around a person’s neck on a chain and used to hold things of sentimental value, such as a photograph or lock of hair.
Hmm, how come the dictionary didn’t mention a compass?!
Handmade Compass Lockets
Here are some of the compass lockets I’ve made so far. Each one is individually handmade, so no two are ever the same.
